Lea's Story

a graphic novel

about the life and fate of Lea Deutsch.

Lea Deutsch became the youngest actress of the 1930s thanks to her acting engagement at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. She was often referred to as a child prodigy due to her exceptional talent.

Lea was born in Zagreb on January 18, 1927, and tragically passed away at the age of 16 while being transported to Auschwitz.

HERMES proudly presents the graphic novel “Lea’s Story” about the life and destiny of this young girl referred to by many as ‘Croatia’s Anne Frank’. We hope that her story will inspire young people to learn about the Holocaust, drawing lessons and warnings from the past – for today.
