Resistance Art and the Fight for Women's Rights
The Street Power Project: Resistance Art and the Fight for Women’s Rights is designed to empower young people through creative expression and education about women’s rights. Through a combination of educational workshops and the creation of murals in public spaces, the project harnesses street art as a powerful tool to foster critical thinking, social awareness, and active participation among youth in the struggle for equality and justice.
The main project activities are::
- Workshops for Youth
The Youth Culture Center “Ribnjak” will host educational and artistic workshops for high school students that explore themes of women’s rights, street art, and social responsibility. Through collaboration with educators and artists, participants develop an awareness of gender equality and create their own artistic works with socially engaged messages. - Creation of a mural on the topic of women’s rights
In a prominent location in the Ribnjak Park, a mural will be created through a participatory process, in collaboration with young people and renowned street art artists. Next to the mural, a QR code will be placed that leads to an online educational platform with additional content about women’s rights.
